It is quite an honor to have my first issue as editor of Leadership magazine focus on “Empowering Women Leaders.” It’s a subject I’m passionate about — and one that, apparently, you are passionate about, too.

ACSA received an unprecedented number of submissions for this issue. It was my pleasure to read all 43 articles, each with their own voice and vital tips on how to survive “Leading While Female.”

As I was sifting through submissions, I realized that great articles would have to be left out. It pained me to not be able to share the wisdom, experiences and wit of these writers. It was like hosting a dinner party, but only having so many seats at the table.

So I’ve decided to pull up a few more chairs.

This issue of Leadership is accompanied by a special section on ACSA’s Resource Hub titled Women in Leadership. There, we are featuring several top articles that did not fit in this issue. Head over to content.acsa.org and start reading.

Whether they are published in these pages or on the Hub, I know many other female school leaders will be empowered by these articles.
